For my 3D printing project I chose to make a phone holder. I wanted a holder that would allow me to charge my phone both horizontally and vertically, and plug headphones in either way as well. I also made a ledge on one side to deflect sound toward the listener. To make the phone holder I first designed the side in Inventor. Then, I extruded the object and put the holes and ledge into the file. Then, I exported the file to Makerbot desktop and set up the file to print with supports for the holes. Finally, I loaded the file into the printer and let it print the object out. I am happy with the final design, as all of the holes are in the right spots and my phone no longer tips over when I try to prop it against something.
